Hi! Im Cathy.
I got my start with pet grooming in 2012 when I opened a small retail pet store in Wyoming. I would get people desperately dropping in with animals that had been turned away from grooming salons for one reason or another. With help from a friend with grooming experience, we would groom the pets that weren't able to go to traditional salons.
In 2017, after moving to Ventura, CA, I went through a professional grooming class and got my start with full time grooming. I started out working in a couple of the "Big Box" stores as a pet groomer and in 2022 I transitioned away from the corporate environment and joined an independent grooming salon team. In March of 2025 I decided it was time to spread my wings and open my own salon, and thus, Harbor Paws Grooming was born. I absolutely enjoy building relationships with my animal clients (and their human family members).
